A festival companion for every stop along the way.
Local Robot created WineX RI for iOS and Android, bringing the Rhode Island Wine Experience into a focused mobile guide. The app connects the festival schedule, participating vendors, wine discovery, a personal vendor passport and venue maps in one place.
Deep green backgrounds, warm gold accents and expressive serif headings carry Wine X’s identity through the experience. Four clear destinations, Schedule, Explore, Passport and Map, give guests a familiar way to move between planning their visit and finding their next stop.
See what’s next, wherever the day takes you
The schedule organizes events by festival edition and day, with concise cards that lead into fuller event details. Guests can move from the overview to a description, venue information and walking directions without searching across separate pages.
The design also makes room for a festival that is still taking shape. Details that have not been announced are labeled clearly, keeping the distinction between published information and upcoming updates visible.
Explore the people and wines behind the experience
The Explore screen gives the collection its own space. Guests can switch between wines and vendors, search the collection and filter by vendor. Product cards bring the name, container size, available pricing and selection controls together in a consistent layout.
The interface keeps the focus on discovery, with the same typography, colors and simple navigation used throughout the guide.
A passport that remembers the people you meet
The vendor passport turns visits into a personal record of the festival. Guests scan a participating vendor’s QR code to collect one stamp per vendor, per edition, and see their progress at a glance.
Guest progress stays on the device. Optional email-code sign-in lets guests save and synchronize their passport across devices. The language is deliberate: stamps remember vendor interactions, rather than measuring alcohol consumption or encouraging a drinking challenge.
Find your next stop in Providence
The map brings events and venues into a shared geographic view. Guests can switch between the two, filter by day and open walking directions from an event’s details. Gold highlights connect the map controls to the rest of the interface, while clear venue names and addresses help guests keep their bearings.
From discovery to an order request
Where ordering is available, guests can save selections, adjust quantities and submit an order request for The Savory Grape to review. This is a request flow, with no in-app payment checkout. Stock, final pricing, payment and fulfillment are confirmed separately, and a request does not complete or guarantee a purchase. Alcohol requests require a 21+ affirmation, with any later sale subject to the retailer’s age and identification checks.
Keep the guide close
Previously downloaded festival information and saved selections remain available when connectivity is unreliable. Fresh content, maps, account synchronization and order submission require an internet connection. Guests can browse without an account and choose whether to enable camera access, location or notifications.
WineX RI brings planning, discovery and wayfinding together in a consistent experience for iOS and Android, with the festival’s identity carried from the first event card to the last vendor visit.
