BloomConnect is an original daily word puzzle for iPhone and iPad, designed and developed by Local Robot. Players arrange sixteen words so each card belongs to both its row and its column. Finding one connection changes how you see the next.
We brought the puzzle into a living meadow, with animated characters, changing weather and original sound. The result brings game design, visual storytelling and iOS development together in a small daily ritual that players can explore at their own pace.
One board. Two ways to connect.
The challenge starts with a simple 4×4 board. Each word has two jobs: it must fit a meaning shared across its row and another shared down its column. Five planted clues establish a starting point, while the remaining cards can be swapped by tapping or dragging.
The interface makes discovery visible. Completed connections reveal their labels and protect the words that belong together. Hints offer a next step, and undo leaves room to rethink a move. These details support experimentation while keeping both directions of the puzzle in view.
A meadow that changes with the day
Seven weather editions give BloomConnect distinct moods, from clear skies and soft fog to rain, wind, snow and storms. The atmosphere carries through the home scene and puzzle board, with a nighttime appearance after dark.
Apple Weather integration is optional. Players can choose a city, allow approximate local weather or use the offline Meadow edition. Once a garden has started, changing weather does not replace its puzzle. Visual variety and dependable progress work together.
Familiar faces, new connections
Eighteen animated friends extend the character world of Azalea Island. Daily gardens earn friendship stamps that open short character stories and decorative frames. The Friends collection gives each character a place in the experience beyond a single puzzle.
A personal journal keeps unfinished gardens and missed days available from the player’s starting date. Progress and scrapbook details stay on the device. Finished results can be shared without giving away the answers.
BloomConnect for iPhone and iPad
A SwiftUI app hosts the bundled game in WKWebView, connecting a shared game interface with native capabilities. The layout adapts from portrait iPhone play to an iPad canvas, while Apple Weather, haptics and native sharing bring the experience closer to the device.
Guest play works offline and needs no account. Optional Azalea Island sign-in brings the player’s companion into BloomConnect and records verified daily completions. Account records are separate from the local puzzle journal and scrapbook.
Sound with room for quiet
Original music, character cues and weather ambience add another layer of personality. Separate controls for music, ambience, sound effects, haptics and motion let players shape the experience around their preferences.
BloomConnect is free, with no advertising, subscriptions or in-app purchases. The product shows how thoughtful interaction, original characters and a focused technical foundation can give a compact game its own identity.
